This is my story…

A cat just walked into the room — a cat who has taken a while to accept me into her family. I was a stranger to her who had acted too comfortable in her quarters and hung around too close to the members of her family…

She would growl if I came anywhere near her: the surest sign of warning to not approach any further. She would meet my eyes with a chilly gaze. I had made the mistake of approaching her as I approach most other domesticated animals — constantly and enthusiastically, with not as much mind for their space and social needs.,,
